2006.3.9 It was a long time ago so memory is not so good. Do remember switching to the Hurst shifter with the straight rods in my 71SS454 with a rock crusher. What a HUGE difference when banging the gears. I think it had 4.75" throw and spung over from 2nd to 3rd. Hurst makes a forest of handles so you should be able to find one that fits no problem.
